I've been disappointed for the last time. at least 4 places I asked for rare, and I come with medium or medium fountain that is not at all to enjoy. everything else is in order. I wish the kitchen staff would learn how to use the temperature meter.
I had the special halibut. This is normally delicious but was over cooked this time and dry. In addition what used to be priced in the $20âs was now $42.50. I asked to substitute the asparagus as it is usually woody and was told it was just a garnish. My spouse had the 10 oz prime rib but it was lacking in flavor- also priced at $42.50. I recently moved from the area and was disappointed to see how high the prices have escalated. A 3% Covid expense was added to the bill. Not excited to return.
The bisque and mushroom caps were good but the steaks didnât have much flavor and were overcooked.
Sunday evening, not many people in the restaurant. Service was exceptionally slow. And a few mistakes were made with our very simple order. My cousin and I both ordered Caesar salads as part of our meals wilty, soggy lettuce, salad dressing was very lacking in taste. I sent mine back. My cousin only ate a little of hers. Loaded baked potato is large, but toppings were barely enough for a few bites, and the bacon was cooked so much it didnât even taste like bacon. I ate four or five bites. We did enjoy the goat cheese appetizer, and my cousinâs petite filets were cooked nicely. The best was the horseradish crusted filet.
I was disappointed in the menu. We both had prime rib which was fine but thought it was a bit pricey. Service was OK but the waiter never asked us if we wanted a drink. The free birthday dessert was a nice touch.
