Bidra med feedbackI absolutely adored my birthday breakfast. I had no complaints at all, everything was excellent. It's a shame that they will be closing their doors next week.
We visited The Vintage Bean twice during our weekend in the 'Vale during the Sea and Wine Weekend. The best coffee and sitting on the 70's lounge next to fire watching the world go by. The first visit we tasted the muffins straight of the oven - yum. We are cleaning out our FIL's house I think half his furniture and bric-a-brac would not be out of place here, pity we live in NSW not SA
The Vintage Bean is a great little place in the centre of McLaren Vale. It is full of stuff out of the 70s/80s, great fun to roan around and enjoy the flair of this decades, learning/remembering a lot of funny things and noting how similar the fashion magazines look! We enjoyed our stay, but were a bit disappointed of the coffee, which was a bit burnt and tasteless. We might be back (for a tea) as it is a nice place to sit and relax, but the coffees made us giving only three stars.
Second visit to the Vintage Bean. It's a pleasant place and has a friendly atmosphere. Worth a visit if you are in the Vale. Tried the pumpkin soup today which I did enjoy. Would have been much better with sourdough bread rather than plain toasted white bread.
We went for lunch to the Vintage Bean, which is a nostalgic trip back to the 70's with lots of laminex and chrome. The food was good and the house wine excellent. Only trouble was the coffee tasted like it was brewed in the 70's, with the flavour of international roast. Service was good and friendly.
