Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen - McHenry

This place has gotten significantly better over time. Honestly, the last last couple of times that I have been to this establishment have been better than the first 80% of the times that I had gone. Not to say that it was particularly bad at the start it just wasn't as good as it is now. Their chicken has been crispy, and they don't skimp out on the spicy sauce, and I'm all for it.

Order was taken by a new kid. He told us to pull around to the front (as we were going through the drive through). And we waited longer than expected and had to go in. The manager apologized profusely and gave us fresh hot food, a free drink, mashed potatoes, biscuits, and coleslaw. Food was great service as well.Food: 5/5

We will never return to Popeyes chicken. The store in Mchenry Illinois discriminated against my mother after she stopped to pick up some chicken for a Father’s Day party. This is totally unacceptable and indefensible behavior by the staff. After I returned to the store they didn’t do anything for me including apologize for their behavior.

Great place to go if you want to stand at a counter and be ignored for ten minutes. They’ll literally not say a single word to you like we’ll be right with you. Nope, customers don’t exist to them apparently.Food: 4/5
