After The Fox - McHenry

Just when we thought Brunch was fashionable, we found one on Sunday morning along the river in McHenry. Looks like a tiny place from outside, but when you go into it, it is shocking how deep the rooms are and a direct view of the river. All our favorites were served on the Brunch Egg Benedict, biscuits and Gravy, scrambled eggs. They served excellent pork sausage and freshly cut ham. Fresh fruit and coffee cakes and donut holes from Riverside Bakery for a bonus. They serve only from 10 am to 12:30 pm, so everything is very fresh. The price at $8.50 is a bargain. We will definitely come back.

It's just my second visit. My first was on a Monday to taste her specialties (steak, lobster or pork carving). They were amazing for the first time, so I was excited to bring back friends to try them again. Let me say they haven't disappointed! I love the pork chops I've ever had. We will often be back!!!

Always a great meal, what we order. We left because the man loves the Halibut Wangen. He changed his mind and got the Walleye he said was delicious. He started with lobster bisque and said it was the best he ever had. I had liver and onions... always a good choice!

I think they have the best food on the chain I own a marina on the Fox River and do not go boating it is like a postman going out for a walk on his day I sent all my customers there and they are very happy to get me in my car and go to eat there, they always have great specialties

Excellent food and great atmosphere. The wait staff is very friendly and polite. And the fish fry was delicious. I will be returning and would recommend their place to others.
