Bidra med feedbackOnce again, not let down from valerie. two couples went for the hot rocks we love as it is so relaxing, they cook their food and eat it very pleasant. all the plates went empty with withdrawal from me when I could just...not eat everything, but as always, valerie bought the steak and chips again in a doggy bag for my dogs! I recommended the restaurant friends who wanted to try a new place for a plate du jour. they loved it absolutely. three courses including wine cost them about 21 euro, so no complaining there and they commented on how clean the place was, a point I didn't think about before, but yes, it's impeccable and valerie is charming. although I clicked that it is a pizza restaurant, the menu is much more diverse than just pizzas.
Ok, so we have been eating here for 9 years and recommended to a friend for a long holiday. so three of us on Easter Sunday. the outside terrace was not open, but in reality it was not warm enough to eat outside. once again, not disappointed by the quality of the food. valerie, as always welcome and the 'valerie virgin' was not at all disappointed and will take her man when he joins her next month. we will go back on this Sunday so that two Sundays will be at the dries, as friends come to their holiday home and it is their favorite place to lunch on Sunday for the "hot rock". quite simple, never had a bad meal here and even if unpacked the service is always excellent.
A Thursday in November and we hadn 't booked! EEEEK. However, the lovely Valerie found us a table in a nearly full restaurant. Mixture of people, some couples, some Chasse, some office types. I think we were the only English in there. Once again, food was...excellent. As our favourite hot rock is not available at lunchtime during the week, we opted for our next favourite, duck in a pepper sauce and once did not disappoint. We had a 'normal starter ' and we don 't have to tell Valerie that we don 't want tomatoes on it, she remembers and she remembers what we drink. There was a lovely babble of conversation going on. Another relaxing lunchtime. Went to pay and as she knew it was Richard 's birthday she did not charge us for our aperos. Typing this makes me want to go for a hot rock on Sunday. Please don 't ever leave Valerie! Although I have indicated that the price is mid range, the plat du jour is excellent value.
This is not only a pizza restaurant, but a complete menu Italian family style. in the middle of the old town of mauron sits this restaurant that has a beautiful updated facility, great service and very cheap prices. the prices are low, but the foods were excellent, no complaining.
Didn't book yesterday but turned up anyway and we were well looked after as always. We have been watching our weight of late but the lure of a hot rock with Duck, Steak and Chicken was too tempting. Served with a bowls of lovely chips,...a huge salad and three dipping sauces. All the sauces are lovely the garlic mayonnaise is to die for! Let's just say we won't be kissing anyone for a day or so! ! We could not manage desert but the demi carafe of red wine went down a treat!
