Unpretentious and honest. No frills old school friendly.
The new owner's daughter informed me about the situation, but instead of addressing the issue, I was just given a $4 refund. It's disheartening, and I've decided that I won’t return. I hope others heed my warning and save their time and money. The place feels stuck in the past, and I doubt that the old-time clientele will keep the business afloat for much longer in this new era.
This establishment is the oldest bar in Mattoon, attracting the best customers from around the globe!
This is a fantastic spot to enjoy a few drinks and share some wonderful stories. The House family are truly excellent folks!
