Bidra med feedbackThe waitress we had was good, but the food wasn't. We have old and cold roasted chicken. It wasn't a good day. I ordered the chicken and the dimples and that came cold the cookies were hot but a little to light up for my pleasure.
Food was great. I drove about 12 hours from Queens, NY. We stopped here shortly after we approached our families. Hands down, lots of experience for the first time.
Mom decided she wanted to eat here for her Thursday 9/11/21. We sat fast. Our waitress was Brittany. She had no personality at all. She wasn't friendly that she didn't even smile. So we ordered our dinner. Mom had a salad with Bleu cheese they enjoyed. She ordred Hamburger Steak (WELL DONE) with white county Gravy and potatoes. As you can see in the picture below, it is still raw. We got bread with our meals. Brittany hasn't glued us, butter or apple butter, so I had to get up from the table to ask for something. I always asked her if it was okay and she would say how she wouldn't complain. I finally called the manager. I explained that Mom wasn't happy with her meal and that I had to get our apple butter myself. The manager offered to re-boil the meal, but Mom said she wasn't okay. My dinner was chicken dumplings, green beans roasted okra. I think the cook needs more training. They do not put all food in 1 large bowl. My fried Okra sat out of the beans in juice, so I had to move into the vicinity of my dumplings so it won't get so bad. Our beautiful waitress did not offer any refills for our drinks. Mom had to put her cup on the table as a hint. I have a refill after dinner. We were offered a free piece of cake with ice cream for Moms bday from the manager. I had to ask from the waitress Brittany because she didn't offer it, although I had mentioned it was Moms the day we arrived at the table. I even called Corporate Office. I got a ticket #126146 said District Mgr would get an email about our experience. DIES was the WORSE EXPERIENCE, which we had on this MATTHEWS NC LOCATIONs EVER!
A hidden southern secret! There are three in the area of Charlotte. I prefer those on Independence Blvd. The pancakes are the best I tried. Service is impeccable and the restaurant, toilets and business are clean every time I visit. Take out or dinate...either well with me.
Always will be one of my favorite restaurant chains. They are so hospitable and the little old fashioned gift shop is ADORABLE! They have all the toys I grew up with and even some my grandparents grew up with and it's just precious! The food is amazing and homemade (or housemade as the case may be) and always delicious. Prices are a bit high but it's 100% worth it!
