Bidra med feedbackI found the staff to be quite rude. They were not children friendly at all. They don't seem too concerned with their clients. The sushi was also not fresh and they had limited buffet options. The price is cheap....but considering they charged me full buffet price (8euros @lunch) for my 2 year old who barely ate 2 spoons of rice, I would say it turned out to be expensive. Will not return.
It 's one of the worst sushi restaurant i have even been to. The price is affordable and it 's a all you can eat type of restaurant but the range of product is very limited and the products aren 't fresh. The rice is a mush and hard to eat. Also, the restaurant isn 't very clean...the tables were really sticky. not coming back.
I 'm a regular customer of Sabor Fresco , just around the corner. It´s also a take away sushi bar, have a few tables available to eat in, but I use to order and grab. This new Shoya sushi bar, is a real restaurant, with a lot of tables to eat in. I guess this was a chineses restaurant that becomed sushi bar...but is a guess based on the decoration. In fact one of the things that could be annoying in Sabor Fresco sushis bar (the competitor around the corner and first in the area) is the fact if you didn´t order in advance by phone and just pop-in, you have a serious possibility to come back with empty hands or at least wait for an hour or more. I hear that about Shoya that doesn´t happen! So, on first time i tried their Sushi my wife was in the area and decided to pop-in and grab some sushi. It was ok in fact! This week, I made the same, it was about 12PM and i went to grab some sushi! The restaurant was completly empty and dark, only the staff was eating on the back. I asked about Sushi and a lady answered saying they had , I though that strange, Sushi have to be fresh made, but maybe they made early in the morning. Then I saw them open the freezers and taking a lot of sushi and containers with rice. I asked immediatly if all that was fresh, the lady answered YES! Ok, I took it! But already at home eating that some of them didn´t tasted like fresh, and in fact I tried on with butterfish and the taste was awful, definetly not fresh! I give 3 stars on my rate here at tripadvisor, because on the first time i tried the sushi from shoya was ok, just my second experience was bad, do I will give a chance to them... Comparing to the competitor around the corner, Shoya have more variety and a lot of tables and buffet menus, could be an advantage ... if fresh made! Prices are the same as the competitor.
Very fast and good food, pick any set you want
Tasty, my favourite Japanese restaurant in matosinhos, great price, especially on weekdays, tasty and plentiful eating, salmon is wonderful, especially on day and the entire staff is very friendly.
