Dish Fish - Matosinhos

It is rare that you find a combination of outstanding food and great service. My heart and stomach were very pleased. We had fresh grilled fish on the rooftop and went back to try the sushi, both outstanding.

My favourite restaurant in Porto. The sushi is a very rare thing to find and service is great also. They are a rising star for sure.

While in Porto we had to go out for a fish dinner. There are many fish restaurants in Matosinhos, which is on the Atlantic coast, about a 45-minute trip from downtown Porto using the subway/train. There are many small fish restaurants along the main street (Rua Herois de Franca , most of which have a covered outdoor eating area that’s beside the grill. Using TripAdvisor, we decided on Fish Dish. The server showed us the list of the day’s catch and we selected a few for a platter. There was a lot of food, all expertly grilled, and we enjoyed an evening of fish and Portuguese wine.
