Friendly staff, quality products with wide choice

We were advised by our B&B host to eat here and it was one of the best pieces of advice we have ever received! The place looks like an upper class canteen, with self-service trays whereby one can choose the food on display and bring it to the table. Everything we ate, and I mean everything, was of the highest quality and on a par with a luxury restaurant. We went for lunch, which is a quite busy time, as we were told that many government employees of sorrounding offices flock to this restaurant, but we immediately got a table, so the situation is not bad at all. We tried six different dishes, from the squid-salad to fried calamari, from fried peppers to a squids cooked with potato puree, from fish cooked with olives to spinach with garlic and chili, not to mention the famous bread from the Basilicata region, we were in awe of how good food can be! And lastly, the price: 35 Euros for all this food is quite simply amazing. In the UK you hardly get two (bad) starters with a drink for that price!
