Buddy's -b-q - Maryville

Got in line at 1:18 pm, 25 minutes until my order was taken!!! There's one poor lady working the counter alone... taking orders, preparing huge to-go orders, and the line is out the door!!! That lady should be making $30 an hour, as she is doing 3people's work, alone!! The drive thru line is the same. WHERE IS THE MANAGER? ITS one of YOUR BUSIEST DAYS OF THE WEEK,NO? What about people who only get a 30 MINUTE Break for lunch?! You used to be a great restaurant.

Stopped in on Friday for lunch and sadly had a bad experience. Placed order for pulled pork and pulled chicken. We could see our plates before they gave them to us and instead of pulled chicken they gave us bone on chicken. We asked them to fix itnicely and the answer was it was too late as already on the plate. Seriously? It was still behind the counter so would havebeen so easy to fix. Instead they shoved the plate at us. While we were waiting for our food (the wrong food) a guy came inwho had just been through the drive thru. His loaded potatoes were bare. Literally nothing on them. They argued at first buteventually fixed his order. Not sure what was going on but they made the customer feel like a criminal when they were the oneswho messed up. Food was okay. Pulled pork good and green beans were delicious. Chicken was dry and over cooked. Ate 3 bites.Slaw and potato salad decent but lacked flavor. I understand mistakes happen but it's how you respond that makes an experienceand builds loyalty. They lost a customer and the word of mouth that comes from a happy one.

Went inside to eat in the dining room, waited in line for 7 minutes with the workers behind the counter looking at us as well as 5 different parties without any acknowledgment-no ?I?ll be with you in a minute? or anything. When it was finally asked by thegirl who kept walking to the front to fix desserts if anyone was working the front, she said she would but she had to get thingsfor drive thru first. There were 4 other people standing behind the counter doing nothing. I understand that everyone is shortstaffed and I have no issue with being patient but a simple acknowledgment is much preferred to blatantly being ignored.

My husband and I had the baked potato with BBQ pork on it. It was so good. I'm a fan of the hush puppies too. I am definitely coming back. I enjoyed ordering online and skipping the line to pickup my order.

I had lunch here and it was great. Great food, friendly staff, and clean establishment. I had the 1/2 chicken dinner with fries and cole slaw.
