Bidra med feedbackBoy, I don't know where Amanda went, but I've been to El Rinconcito numerous times over nearly 29 years and always had good food and good service. And I love the carved tables. I particularly enjoy the chimichangas for lunch. The portions are generous and always hot.
Love this place! Best authentic mexican food anywhere I've been! And great service to boot! I can't find any place in years that compares with their food, though I've tried! Their chile relleno, rice and beans is out of this world! No one has rice like their rice either!
While we were there, at least two customers came to pick up takeout orders. Normally, I'm someone who sticks to my favorites, particularly cheese enchiladas at Mexican restaurants, but this time I decided to try something new: Pollo en Crema. It was absolutely delicious! The salsa was incredibly spicy—beyond what I could handle—but my fiancé enjoyed it. When we inquired about a milder salsa, we learned that they only serve the spicy version. However, the server kindly offered enchilada sauce as a substitute for dipping, which was perfect! We'll definitely be returning! I spotted about five dishes on the menu that I can't wait to try!
On the positive side, the food was excellent, the place is family-owned, and the service was commendable. However, the building itself is a bit worn down and has a slight musty smell. Fortunately, my wife wasn’t bothered by the odor, so I managed to overlook it. I did deduct one star for this issue. Overall, I encourage you to support this local gem and give it a try!
My boyfriend and I are huge fans of Mexican cuisine, and we regret not discovering this hidden gem sooner! Although it may seem like a tiny hole-in-the-wall spot, the food was absolutely fantastic! We ordered the lunch special, which was chili relleno, and both of us were completely stuffed and couldn't finish our meals! We will definitely be coming back time and time again!
