Al Mattatoio - MARTINA FRANCA

This was a highlight of our trip to Italy. We spent 3 weeks in southern Italy and stayed in this little restaurant, that was Fabulous. There was a very nice young man as our waiter who was so nice and helpful. The food was very delicious and fresh. While waiting for food, we received a plate of olives and another plate of European cucumbers and anise. Totally enjoyed this small gem of a restaurant, and the total price with wine was $20.

The outdoor space 'garden' can be quite full in the summer months, as it was when we visited, so we ate inside. There is a good selection of pizzas, all favorites and a few more, a selection of freshly cooked meat together with chips... and salads. The price is also very good with a good saving of downtown facilities.

Bad quality food, salty and outdoors many cats/kitchen scrounging for food.

Right at the entrance of san paolo contrada 7 km from martina franca. the boys who manage are very beautiful, the place is a little dated but the pizza and the panzerotti are good, good also the bread of their production
