Bidra med feedbackTasty fresh food, friendly staff what more do you need! Japanese food in a French city?
I just have to say it's a great place! eating is delicious, I ate raman and vegetarian sushi, it was very good, I recommend it, but the Torikatsu-don was much better I really loved it. desserts are also very good! when they are close to les terraces du port, do not forget to stop here, the ambiente is good, service and prices .
These days, Marseille is flooded by Japanese restaurants and sushi places. In my case, on a Sunday, I strolled down to the town centre, really wanted to look for something different. But it 's always the same, the time was 18:00, a bit embarrassed, lunch was...long over, dinner not started yet, so it 's the usual boring China fast food, kebab doner or McDonald/ Quick fast food chain. Then we ended up arriving Les Terrasses du Port, it 's time for the food court to shut, so we had no other choice but took up this only offer : Yoj Japanese restaurant on the ground floor. Hubby ordered a set meal of fried chicken with rice, soup, salad and dessert, I had a dish of Gyoza and eel sushi. I also tried a funny strawberry fizzy drink with a glass ball acted as a lid and a gas preserver, which was so pricey, at 5€ a little bottle. Food arrived quickly , all were good, eel sushi were very fresh but the miso soup was a bit salty, I saw many complaints about the service of the waiting staff here but ours was ok, she 's polite and attentive all the way and even jokingly explained how to open my drink by pushing the glass ball into the bottle.
I was with a colleague at the Terrasses Mall and we chose this little Japanese place because we wanted a light dinner. We each had the three course meal at 17Euro and were surprised by how fast it was all brought to our table. The...only downside is that everything comes at the same time, so you don't have much space to maneuver on the table. The soup and salad were OK, as was the sushi. It is not great gastronomy, but the atmosphere is nice and service fast. It was a Monday night, so not many tables around, which made it good for talking. I can see how it can get very loud on busier nights given close proximity to other tables.
The restaurant is located on the ground floor of the shopping center it offers a pleasant terrace. The staff is nice. The dishes are good but no more: our noodles were warm and the chicken a little dry. It's a nice restaurant but nothing extraordinary.
