Palais du Maharajah - Marseille

Good food, nice ambience, friendly people and reasonable choice of menu. Compared to other restaurants, little expensive, specially the Mago lassi, but was very delicious.

Good choice of dressed, authentic Indian cuisine. they have a mango leti with their meal a bit sweeter than I expected, but taste was great. from the menu I recommend the aubergine.

First off, the menu was rather small for an Indian place, but we found something that sounded nice and ordered it. Upon ordering, we were not asked how spicy we would like the food (a common for Indian places), which we found to be a...little unnatural. However, when the food arrived after 5-10 min we quickly understood why; everything had been microwaved and was as tastless as can be, there is no way the food could have been made properly in that amount of time. Particularly, the naan, which had been buttered before microwaving, was terrible as the plentiful margarine inside had not been melted. Fortunately, we were given some hot sauce (we were told that this was very very spicy) to accompany the food, something that we made great use of in order to make the food taste at least something. And no, the sauce was not very spicy as we were told.

Great atmosphere, great service, great food (cheese naan chicken tikka is absolutely amazing) very welcoming... overall fantastic experience! When back in Marseille, will most definitely pay them a visit just to add the Mango Lassi is amazing!
