Bidra med feedbackStarchy, soggy cold chips, meagre portions and dry meat. victoria yeeros are a long-term local business that seems to have lost the love. people in this neighbourhood are understanding and support for small, local... companies do not treat us with contempt.
I lived in marrickville in the early nineties and was a great fan of victoria yeeros and would not hesitate to support them to anyone or recommend them as the food and service were both fantastic) and I and my family of 6...Kids continue to eat there with numerous pleasant remembrances. but I had the opportunity to go at the weekend with 1 of my children now 25 years old and sad everything has changed! the service was terrible, eating did not look fresh, there were no combo meal offers everything had to be bought individually and it was quite clear that they tried to squeeze every last cent out of every purchase. undeterred thought we had at least got a delicious yeeros? we ordered 2 lanb yeeros with bbq sauce 1 large chips 1 large bottle water and a can koks total 41.60.00 . when we waited, another customer questioned their order and asked how she could say, she was confidently told by the assistent that everyone was marked and written on the packaging she was happy and abandoned. when we got our order, we had 2 lamb yeeros with chili and no Bbq sauce, I went in and told the assitant she assured me that there was no chili and Bbq sauce in the yeeros and offered me extra Bbq sauce. when I could continue eating the chlli taste and see the chili sauce on the wrap, I went back and asked to see one of the older Greek gentleman/cooks inside and asked him whether there were any chili in the yeeros he assured me that there was nothing, I told him that I had put an allergy on chili and had to shut down for 5 days in the sick house, he had been
Hasn't been here for a few years since I didn't live in the opposite and the last time I was eating here had a bad experience. not to be like this time, as it seems that the owners have it right now. two large mixing plates eat at a fair price and quality and quantity were on the brand. very tasty and extremely fillable. it was a pleasure to eat out and not available disposable cutlery and teller come to the end of the virus period. recommend the big plate when they are hungry or a big eater. had given the venue a perfect 5 stars rating but the feeling that pay $2.70 for a minuscule garlic sauce thimble size container was steep. should have been free and I asked for tzatziki and not garlic sauce. these two articles are not the same. in any case it is worth visiting if they are in the marrickville area for a feed.
I was for a simple rindburger with speck and chips. it reminded me of the old Takeaway shops of the 90s, nothing imaginative, but tasty and quite decent price. the chips were also quite decent, I certainly had worse. If I need a cheap feed, I'd rather go here than the oporto or the subway. it seems as if burger were better than the yeros. I have ordered over eats, so I have paid with credit card, I do not know about the cash only option or if the service is snapping so it may be better than to go to the actual shop.
The food here was average. I was surprised because the owners seem like genuinely nice people obviously with a Greek background so the quality is usually better with the inside know how. The Gyros that we had did not resemble the Gyros in Greece in...the slightest. The meat was similar to what you find at a 3am roadside kebab stop. Come on guys get real meat only to the Souvla not processed meat. The prices are very high for the standard of food. The true Gyros Meritha comes with sliced tomato, sliced onion, tzatziki, chips and the sliced meat. We have just come back from a few months in Greece and were hoping for some good authentic food but it wasn 't to be. The owners and staff were great but that doesn 't fill the tummy.
