We enjoyed the fried catfish and the fried shrimps. The dough was light, the catfish fluffy and fresh. The gumbo had a taste that was not fake, but needed more season. The red beans were watery and bland. The service was friendly.

Great. I'm on vacation and landed at Sal's! Cheap, delicious food and friendly service! I asked from our food came with a lesson and Brenda(? was happy to teach my family how to remove a crab very easily and get on the delicious meat inside! The Westbank is a family owned restaurant that serves the best boiled seafood. Their menu is simple with no frills, and I recommend trying the crab dip. It is the only restaurant on the Westbank that I will dine at.
