Stopped in early on my way out of town yesterday at the recommendation of my uncle who used to visit frequently. Very good selection of bakery items, one of the best Boston Creams I've ever had, very pleasant, cheerful staff, and a couple of amazing loaves of bread. Well worth the stop. I will be back in.
We generally stop by this bakery each time we make it to Marquette. The donuts, deserts, bagels, muffins, sandwiches, and breads are a great treat. The staff is always upbeat and cheerful. The earlier in the day you arrive, the greater selection you have.
Our family absolutely LOVES Huron Mountain Bakery! Every time we visit The U.P., we make sure to indulge in their delicious donuts, pasties, desserts, and croissant sandwiches. It’s the perfect spot for enjoying coffee and treats! Our favorite sandwich is 'The Huron,' which features avocado honey mustard, turkey, and fresh vegetables on a croissant. There truly is something for everyone! While the 'Ham and Swiss' croissants are our top pick, they also offer tasty options like 'Vegetarian' and 'Spinach Feta.' And who can resist a chocolate croissant or the delightful apple-blueberry cream cheese pastry? The donuts are huge, light, airy, and bursting with flavor! Plus, the cheesecake is simply irresistible—creamy, sweet, and paired perfectly with raspberry sauce. I believe they also have a sister location in Ishpeming! You definitely won't regret a visit!
The cannoli and éclairs here are absolutely delicious! They also serve large sandwiches, donuts, bagels, and freshly baked bread every day. The restaurant is located on the right side of US-41, just before the first traffic circle when heading north. You can't go wrong with any choice here! I tried one of their sandwiches, called the Michigan, last Friday, and it made for a very tasty lunch. There are six other sandwich options as well.
