Bidra med feedbackAmazing meal (typical South Tyrolean and also Italian). So delicious. Check out the strudel. This place is a hidden gem with an amazing view.
Trekking along a waalweg route in sudtirol and we could t be happier to find this little gem. The menu is large and varied with lots of choice. We ate pork with beer and cumin sauce accompanied with krautsalat and the ribs with French fries! Both meals were incredible and so we came back a second time. This time trying their 'groztl ' which is a potatoe, speck, mushroom, onion dish with a fried egg! Also incredible! If we had longer we 'd come back again for sure! Portions are ginormous so arrive hungry or consider sharing a dish! Also beautiful views across the valley!
Great food lovely place to eat after a lovely trekking tour through the woods. Lovely waiters except for one who wasn't quite welcoming to the guests and immediately stopped them from choosing their preferable place to sit. Which immediately ruins the holiday feeling. As a paying guest we are all entitled to a friendly welcome.
Kindness is different! If you arrive dressed smartly, like a group in front of us, you will be greeted with knee-jerk reactions. If you come from hiking dressed normally, you won 't be looked at. When we asked if there was a table available for 6 people, the waiter looked us up and down and said if at all, then only inside (most of the tables outside were still empty). Then he turned around and just left us standing there. By far the unfriendly waiter we had on our vacation. If you have a restaurant right on a hiking trail, you shouldn 't pretend to be posh, that doesn 't go down well at all. We have been guests there before, this time definitely the last time. There are plenty of other restaurants on the Waalweg where you can also receive a friendly welcome as a hiker.
