Bidra med feedbackGood food, counterservice in marietta square market. authentic new orleans po boys and sides. I had the oyster poboy who was good but not great. poboy was loaded with oysters, a little over fried in what tastes like older fat. I had a wonderful experience with her food truck, so hopefully it was just a free day.
The shrimp was good that’s it. This is the one in Marietta Market. I ate at the other location and it was good, but this was horrible. It took forever for my food to be ready, I think they were understaffed. The cashier was taking orders and had to make my food. My po boy was falling apart from over toasting. The jambalaya was bland. I didn’t even eat it. I’m a Food blogger and really wanted this to be good, it wasn’t!
Not an authentic Louisiana Restaurant. Terrible terrible. This is not a restaurant at all. It’s a food stall in the Marietta Food Hall near Marietta Square. The food was horrible. The Po Boy was more like a soggy shrimp sandwich. The bread was rubbery soft as if it had been microwaved. The shrimp were soggy and looked like they were fried in old grease. The crawfish pie looked as if it was fried in old grease. The gumbo was a bowl of rice with barely any sauce. Aside from the presentation the food was not fresh and lacked any kind of flavor. After a couple of bites of each I threw it away. It wasn’t worth eating. A total waste of money.
I love a good po boy. When it’s done right it’s one of the most satisfying meals out there. This place will empty your wallet, make you wait 35 minutes when you’re the only customer, and then your po boy will be absolutely pathetically tiny and ice cold. How do you make me wait over 30 minutes and then the food is cold? How does that even happen guys? Look at this pathetic thing. THIS is what I waited half an hour for? Come on. Will not be returning. Also, they claim to be using Leidenheimer Bakery (the premiere bakery for this kind of bread in NOLA)…but I call BS. I’ve had Leidenheimer’s bread. This was not that bread. This bread was flat, gross, and sad. There is no way on earth this pathetic little loaf came from Leidenheimer’s, absolutely no way.
The cashier was very rude at this location. I asked if I could remove ingredients from a shrimp po boy and she said no. You can either have it plain or with everything on it. Based on her tone and lack of customer service, I declined to purchase anything and not shocked to see their reviews are low on here.
