Bidra med feedbackMarden Shopping Centre previously lacked a good café, having only a bakery and snack bar. I decided to check out 2 Delicious, located to the south on the opposite side of busy Payneham Road. The café is not very well marked, but does offer some parking. The website stated operating hours from 7 am to 4 pm, but a sign on the window indicated 7 am to 3 pm, which may not be ideal for those seeking afternoon tea. The interior is lovely, bright, clean, and cheerful, with seating for about 25 people at small tables. The cake selection seemed limited and mostly covered at 2:55 pm. Nonetheless, the friendly Scottish lady was accommodating and served me a delicious piece of fruit cake and a coffee with froth at my table. I was the only customer present, leading me to consider whether they fare better with breakfast, lunch, and take-out options. The lady and her spouse were extremely amiable and conversational, making my time there very pleasant.
But they actually don't open until 7:30am). However, once I was seated and ordered my food, I was pleasantly surprised. The menu had a good variety of options and my coffee was delicious. The service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was cozy. Overall, I had a great breakfast experience at this cafe and would recommend it to others.
