La Fonte Delle Streghe - Marbella

This restaurant is something special. It has character and fantastic food which many of the Orange Square restaurants lack. Situated next to the fountain it is family run with a focus on Italian Spanish cuisine. The team are friendly and welcoming. Try indoors as well even more character. A regular visit by our family.

On Plaza de las Naranjas, the outside seating area is well placed and part of this area looks more refined lets say than perhaps other places on the square. Menu seems good as well. The inside of the restaurant seemed a bit dark and is somewhat hidden in the square. We stopped for lunch here, Our food was a little disappointing. Minestrone appeared to have no pasta which you'd normally expect and was more like a watery soup. Over salted as well. The pasta carbonara was stoggy and thick, over eggy as well. Tortilla was ok but too dry and plain. They did provide complimentary bruschetta at the start which was quite good however. Service was fine, a little cold and slightly too formal and they seemed distracted with something most of the time. As long a you're not expecting too much and just want quick lunch food this place is ok, but definitely better about.

Hidden away on the south side of La Plaza de las Naranjas, this is well worth a visit. 4 of us dined there, 2 adults and 2 children. I had a minestrone soup as a starter which was obviously fresh made and not out of a tin or a packet. For the main course I had the Penne Alla Arribiatta, again obviously freshly made. My wife had the tagliatelli and my daughters had the lasange and spaghetti. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the meal and even with a couple of drinks and the odd glass of wine, the bill was very reasonable for the location. I'd also like to mention the excellent and attentive staff who were more than willing to put up with my poor Spanish, even though they appeared to speak English quite well. Seek this one out, it's well worth a visit.

After walking around the square several times we chose this restaurant and were not dissappointed. Food was excellent as well as the service. Price was reasonable as well. Location was perfect to sit and observe the activities taking place in the square. Loved it !

Tucked into a corner of the Plaza de los Naranjos, this little restaurant is charming and has fantastic food. Warm and cozy atmosphere.
