Domus Desideria - MARANELLO

Sadly we only found this restaurant a couple of days before we were heading home. When we first arrived soon after opening hours, the place had no customers, but the local police were collecting pizza so we thought it must be OK! It soon filled up though, and mostly with locals a sure sign that it's a good option. The staff were friendly and efficient, the menu was extensive (especially the pizzas), and the food was excellent. On top of that the prices were around 2/3rd the price of the restaurants by the carpark, even with a 2 euro per head service charge. My only complaint was the chairs, which were not the most comfortable!

The appearance is like most Italian restaurants. They look simple and dull. But as most things in life, it’s about the inside. The food I had was great. A salad and some Gnocci. The salad was fresh and the vegetables crunchy. The plate with Gnocci was covered with Parmesan cheese and Mozzarella. Oil and balsamic for your salad. People where really friendly and the price I paid was good.

I had a lunch in this restaurant before going to visit the Ferrari Museum because it was recommended by some people at the bar. The location is nice, in the centre of Maranello city and the restaurant room was very spacious. I ordered a pizza and it was good but nothing special. The price was fair with that we ate.

Four huge tasty pizzas, including beers, wine carafe and limoncella shots after for 44 Euro is our kind of evening in Maranello. This is a “locals” restaurant, recommended to us by locals, and we are very pleased to recommend to you. Four pages of pizza to choose from in the menu, brought to our table hot and super-tasty.
