I was so excited to dine here ever since I learned it was a black owned business and it received good reviews from a colleague. First, let me say, the decor and ambiance was beautiful. Loved everything about it. But the service was disappointing and beyond poor. The hostess and staff were friendly enough but many of the items present on the menu were unavailable. I loved it here! Jayla was great, she recommended the peach cobbler and it was delicious. We had oxtails (they fall off the bone omg!!!! , catfish, red beans and rice, everything was great. We’ll be back during the week to try the rest of the menu!

Great food and service alitte slow but food comes out hot and it a high price but the price makes the cost fair

Very laid back. You shouldn't go here if you're in a rush. Excellent dressing. The pork steak is very good. 09/18/2022 is our second visit on Soul Food Sunday. I had the Fried Pork Chop and my fiance had the Smothered Pork Chop. Both were excellent and more than we could eat in one sitting. Thank God for boxes to go. AMAZING!! We got the crab cakes, catfish, and gumbo per recommendation from Derek who was a very knowledgeable and attentive server. Previous reviews complain about small portions which was definitely not the case. We left with full bellies and I even needed a box to take the rest of mine. If you are on the fence about going here, just do it! You won't regret it.
