Angry Sardar is a charming North Indian themed eatery located along the by lanes of Anjuna that celebrates the Punjabi style with a modern twist and some peppy background music. They have a range of seating options to suit your preference.<br/ <br/ We tried the following:<br/ <br/ Mocktails: Citric Acid Berry Splash, Basil Pineapple with Chilly<br/ <br/ Starters: Chicken Tikka, Chilli Paneer, Chilli Chicken<br/ <br/ Mains: Butter Chicken, Potato Cheese Balls in Palak Gravy, Butter Garlic Naan<br/ <br/ Dessert: Gajar Ka Halwa<br/ <br/ We don't usually prefer drinks with strawberry or pineapple, but both these mocktails pleasantly surprised us. Refreshing and something different from the regular mocktails.<br/ <br/ Perfectly marinated and beautifully cooked, the tikka was absolutely delicious. With around 6 7 pieces, the tikkas are served with two chutneys that compliment them really well. This was one of our favorite dishes! Paneer Chilli Chicken Chilli are two classic Indo Chinese dishes which had their flavour profiles on point. However the chicken was slightly overcooked for us and hence was a little dry. The paneer on the other hand was soft and perfectly cooked.<br/ <br/ The butter chicken served here was yum. The chicken too was well cooked, but the quantity was quite less given the price. Something different than usual were the Potato Cheese Balls in Palak Gravy two medium sized potato cheese balls cooked in a mildly flavored palak gravy. Not too spicy and easy on the palette. The soft and loaded butter garlic naan paired perfectly with the butter chicken. Unfotunately, being very dry and missing the texture and flavor it should have had, the Gajar Ka Halwa was a let down.<br/ <br/ To know more, check out our Instagram posts<br/ <br/ Part 1: instagram.com/p/B9bvSXSj JG<br/ <br/ Part 2: instagram.com/p/B9g12VFDTb0
This new Punjabi restaurant in town is SO Instagrammable!<br/ <br/ I know that 's not the first thing that comes to mind when you think 'Punjabi restaurant, ' but it definitely is a beautiful open air space! Apart from colourful seating and tiles, painted walls and beautiful chandeliers, it has a truck.... an actual truck... as the bar area to bring on those North Indian highway dhaba vibes. Turning down the volume of the Punjabi music would make it a bit more comfortable.<br/ <br/ Food wise, it was above average! I liked the chicken tikka and the cream laden Butter Chicken better than the rest. Also, who can resist an absolutely perfect Butter Garlic Naan! The Mutton Seekh kebab could improve and there is a lot of scope to improve on the Gajar ka halwa. The mocktails are pretty delicious I 'd recommend 'Let The Sun Go Up '... it has fresh strawberries in every sip. <br/ Angry Sardar has an extensive menu and I 'll definitely hit it up to try out some more North Indian Delicacies. P.S. They also serve Chinese food, because of course, Chinese food has to be the second favourite cuisine of the Punjabis ;
If you are tired of fries and burgers, and want to taste some authentic North Indian food head straight to Angry Sardar. Paneer Lababdar and kulchas are to die for. Food and ambience is 5 star, i took one star bcz of the mosquitoes
