Mr. Lunch - Maple Ridge

Mr. Lunch was a good find, in the industrial area of Maple Ridge, offering breakfast / lunch with hours from 7.30 3.30 Monday to Friday. Two very pleasant guys lead the place, cooking and baking. It is bright and cheerful very clean, washrooms very...clean food is all homemade and very tasty. Anyway, back there.

I have visited this restaurant multiple times, both with my family and on my own, and I have never been let down! My favorite sandwich is the chicken philly, and it tastes just as amazing even when it's cold. They also have the best chocolate chip muffins in town! I will definitely be returning many more times.

There were three broths available at the restaurant. The young man working there mentioned he was new and a bit slow, which we understood. However, things took a turn when the owner arrived and engaged in a lengthy conversation with another customer who had arrived after us. The conversation was about hiking and other topics, leaving the young worker to handle things on his own. Despite the slow service, the owner continued talking to his friend instead of helping out. Eventually, he did step in when the friend's order was ready before mine, even though I had ordered first. The sandwiches were also not made properly, with one of them only having two strips of speck. Overall, the lack of attention from the owner and the poor service led us to question if proper hygiene practices were being followed in the kitchen. It was disappointing and I don't plan on returning. The owner should focus on supporting and training his staff rather than chatting with friends.

I used to frequent Mr. Lunch for lunch when I worked across the street, and now it has become a go-to spot for soup for my 9-year-old grandson while I take his younger brother to the gym in the neighborhood. They also provide school lunches for Whonnock Elementary, where my daughter oversees the program.

Great place to stop for lunch or breakfast! Fabulous food great service. Small little shop everything made fresh daily by the owners. Worth the 5 min drive :
