Wrong wine brought to the table but couldn’t be bothered correcting it as already waiting so long. Waiter spilled the wine but just walked away. Not good
Stylish restaurant, great location. Menu choices were good. The service was inconsistent, our waiter worked hard and some of the others faffed around. A family of four Spanish waited 20 minutes before anyone approached them. Really not good.
I simply cannot understand, or recognise, the poor reviews given to this restaurant by some recent visitors. We booked for dinner after passing the place just before lunchtime the day before. We were immediately impressed by its location, decor and the obvious hard work of its pre service cleaning staff. On arrival for our dinner, we were escorted to a table in a prime position on the terrace as requested . Service was prompt, efficient and very friendly. The food grilled sole was superb, as was our chilled white wine and water. Value for money throughout, with the best Port location and views thrown in for free. We did witness some disgruntled groups none of whom had reserved in advance complain to the staff about not getting tables, or at least the tables to which they thought they were entitled. ‘Entitled’ being the operative word here. Perhaps such groups have something in common with those people who left the recent negative reviews? My only suggestion to such people is to plan ahead a little more efficiently: You’ll be amazed how much smoother life can be if you take care and time to do so. Also, a little politeness and patience towards the waiting staff always helps. Particularly at prime serving times. Remember, not everything in this big, huge, wide universe is about you. So thank you, “Il Porto” and your first rate team, for an excellent dining experience. We hope to return soon.
En este restaurante siempre se come muy bien y con opciones para todos los gustos. Desde las hamburguesas, que son enormes y hechas con carne de buena calidad, a platos más elaborados como el tartar de atún, las gambas al ajillo o los arroces. Si te apetece un pescado tampoco te defraudará, pregunta al maitre por lo más fresco y te recomendará bien. Y lo que para nosotros es su top, el chuletón de carne madurada 90 días: sale con su piedra por si lo quieres cocinar más (aunque está tan tierno que casi crudo es como mejor sabe), patatas, pimientos del padrón y salsa de pimienta a parte. La relación calidad/precio es excelente y, si quieres gastar menos, también tienen un menú fantástico. Postres muy variados y ricos. La atención por parte de todo el personal es excelente, especialmente los propietarios, a quienes se les nota que quieren que disfrutes y estés a gusto. Muchas gracias!
Comida 10/10. El menú del día es súper variado y completo. Hay que decir que se nota que los platos son de calidad para ser en si menú diario. La comida riquísima, los camareros súper agradables, buen ambiente y me ha encantado la decoración. Un sitio para repetir la verdad.
