El Resero - Manta

Our organization held an event at this establishment. The owner was incredibly accommodating and the staff were very attentive to our needs. The menu was diverse and the food was 1st class. I highly recommend this place for anything from a small, quiet dinner to a large event.

El Resero is a cozy place located at via Circunvalacion in Manta, Ecuador. It offers delicious dishes, but its specialty is Argentinian meat cuts. You can accompany your food with delicious beverages, from wines and beers, to cold tea or water. It has 2 divisions, one inside the restaurant, and the other one is outside. They sometimes offer live music, mainly on Fridays. I recommend you visiting it for special occasions with your family and/or friends.

I went last night. Didn't have the chance to taste their food because I was asked to leave the restaurant after being seated in the patio with my small dog. The waiters offered me a table in their outside patio but someone instructed them to tell me that dogs were not allowed, which is fine but they should be clear about being a NO FRIENDLY PET business. Kind of surprising since most restaurants in Manta welcome pets in their patio. BTW their patio was empty, no customers....

El Resero is a beautiful place for a special occasion. Their steak and seafood dishes are delicious and they have a good selection of wines. They have indoor and outdoor seats, while the outdoor area has a playground for children.

Great meal, very quiet environment, something expensive. Sunday evening at 7 p.m. there was only another couple in the restaurant. I had the picana when I ordered them to ask if I was the Argentina beef; say yes was a good choice, but note that much added to the price of meal. It is served on a grill with hot charcoal under (very hot still cook the meat) so you want to order a degree less often than you want to cook it at your desired level at the table. Chimichurri was very good at dinner. Sangria was beautiful while it was only one size on the menu, you can order a half.
