Widow Frost - Mansfield

I ordered a drink and requested it with ice and lemon, but it arrived without either. Additionally, I ordered mushy peas to accompany my fish and chips, but I was served regular peas instead.

We had another fantastic visit to this restaurant on a Friday this time. I ordered fish and chips, while my wife had scampi and chips with a side of 12 onion rings. We also enjoyed 2 pints of Stella for a total of £19.35. To our surprise, the prices were even cheaper after 2.00. The beer was affordable and the food was delicious.

We arrived earlier than usual on a Saturday afternoon and found the restaurant to be busier than expected. I ordered the Empire State burger, while my wife opted for a chicken burger. Despite the longer wait due to the busy crowd, when our meals arrived, I found my burger to be smaller than expected and my wife's to be taller than it should have been. To my surprise, my burger was missing two patties, which I later realized were mistakenly placed on my wife's chicken burger. The mix-up could have been easily avoided by the kitchen staff. Overall, our experience was not as pleasant as usual, and although Wetherspoons is known for its affordable dining, attention to detail should not be overlooked.

A birthday treat from my son. He ordered with the app. Food and drink arrived swiftly. Me and the wife had scampi and chips with onion rings, my son had the empire state burger also with onion rings. All food was good as it always seems to be for us here. The only way you can fault this pub is the tables don't get plates etc cleared and cleaned as often as they should. But there are far worse wetherspoons for cleans tables etc.

We visited on a Saturday afternoon before a night out. We go here a couple of times a month and we've never had a bad meal. It's good wetherspoons food. This time was no different apart from after we'd left my wife told me her knife had the previous users meal over it and showed me a pic of it. You expect better at wetherspoons I'll think twice and check the cutlery now. This is disgusting do the staff check what they are sending out.
