Uni-Club - Mannheim

Don't go there. they pay for misunderstanding. I ordered a court and changed my mind when the waitress was still there, so I told her my new choice. I thought it was completely clear that I didn't want the first court...more than the waitress brought both courts, she said: “I thought you were really hungry.” that's good. but I didn't want the first court anymore since the beginning. She said it wasn't right, she looked really nervous, so I just gave myself to cool the evening for me and my friends. I don't know, that looks amazing. end of the story: I had to pay both. euro for a lid elssser pancake by the way. at least reasons not to go there (which bothers me anyway): the other waitress, the blonde, tends to be very unfriendly. the place smells like fried, always. and it won't really go away from the clothes with a single wash. the most important: the carving jäger art stinks like wet dog. I don't even sweat. I have never dared to try other dishes there, especially as I have seen the “Bolognese Schnitzel”, a scavenger with a bolognese noodle on the top...if they ask me, it looks like rest for dogs. or for stones as they wish.

It's off season so there were not much students. In fact it was really calm. Not a problem ofc because it's not the bar's fault. Despite it being really calm it took ages to get us our drinks. There was only one girl working the bar and for one or other reason she insisted on taking orders at the tables and serving the tables. For us, Belgian blokes, this is weird. Just let people order at the bar.

Good food, good beer, the staff is very nice. The place looks really cool, and you can play also board games like sach or anything else. We really enjoyed there.

Der Name lässt meinen das hier Rund um die Uhr Studenten feiern. Dem ist jedoch nicht so. In erster Linie ist der Uni-Club eine urige Kneipe, mit einem sehr ansprechenden rustikalem Ambiente. Die Preise sind absolut in Ordnung, es wird eine Auswahl sehr guter warmer Gerichte serviert und die Lautstärke ist sehr angenehm. Im hinteren Bereich befindet sich ein kleiner Biergarten und ein Raucherraum. Hervorzuheben ist, dass sich der Uni-Club sehr gut zum Brettspielen eignet. Die Tische haben eine gute Größe und ich wurde noch nie schief angeguckt, wenn ich mit Freunden das ein oder andere Spiel auf den Tisch gezaubert habe. Ein absoluter Pluspunkt. Das Publikum ist sehr gemischt und geht von jungen Studenten, bis hin zu Senioren. Zudem findet man auch am Wochenende immer gut einen Platz. Lediglich der Raucherraum kann schon mal etwas voller sein.
