Bidra med feedbackOur visit was unplanned because our first choice was closed on Sunday. I must say it was a great experience. We were too late for lunch and early for dinner, so we had the place pretty much to ourselves for a while. The food was spot on and our serverwas all smiles, very sweet and attentive to our party of six. I've been lucky to experience good service, but this was excellentservice! The restaurant is situated with lake views and was very comfortable.
My party had the chicken fried steak three cheeseburgers and the fish dish. Bahamas was amazing so is the tabouli and the salad bar was fresh. The drinks for Front and the service staff was amazing I highly suggest stopping by this place for a Lakesidemeal. Consider bringing your boat as they have moorage. The staff sang for our 80 year old birthday boy. Yes they really dohave fresh alligator!!! And the homemade onion rings are to die for
After struggling to find two other restaurants in the area, we stumbled upon this one and decided to give it a shot. Our server was fantastic—very attentive and helpful, even though she was quite busy. We ordered two hamburgers and some alligator. The hamburgers were decent, but for me, they weren't worth the $14 price tag. The hand-cut fries were fresh and delicious, and the mushrooms were amazing. The alligator was surprisingly good as well, and the salad bar offered a great variety of options. Overall, the food was enjoyable. The view was beautiful, and I'm looking forward to coming back in the summer. The only downside for me was the pricing. Our meal, which consisted of two burgers, two beers, and tea, came to $50. At that price point, I expect perfection.
We visited CAPS to celebrate a birthday, usually opting for places in Tulsa, but this time we wanted to stay local. This was our first time dining here since its ownership changed from Freddie's to CAPS. I ordered the catfish dinner, which surprisingly came with just one piece for $16.99. The chicken fried steak tasted off—like chemicals or dish soap—and three of us who tried it all agreed. The chicken Alfredo portion was generous but lacked enough sauce. One member of our party ordered a burger and said it was really good. Overall, I felt Freddie's was better. On a positive note, the chocolate shakes were excellent! Our waitress did her best to address our concerns, but overall, I don’t think we’ll be returning.
We were pleasantly surprised by our visit. The seating was comfortable and the night view was refreshing. I ordered the chicken fettuccine, which was a generous portion, though the dish was average. My husband tried the chicken fried chicken, and he also received a large serving that was very tasty. My favorite part was the complimentary appetizers they brought to the table, which included a loaf of bread, pita, hummus, and sweet pickles – so delicious! The steaks that others ordered looked fabulous, but they were a bit too pricey for us, starting at $40. Since we have our own cow, we can make our steaks exactly how we like them for much less than restaurant prices. However, if you don't have that option, I've heard many people say it's one of the best steaks they've ever had.
