Bidra med feedbackLovely restaurant which is a bit off the beaten track of your coastal but worth a visit. Not a massive menu but to pick from. Good food well presented. I’ve been before and server was excellent, unfortunately on this occasion, while the young lady waiting our table was friendly enough, I felt there was not much interest in helping us beyond “what would you like” and “here’s your food”. No offer of any extra sauce or drinks or how’s your food. Noting. I would have given this place 5 stars again (did before because the service was as excellent as the food) but not on this visit sadly. In fairness it could have been a language issue as we don’t speak French and they may not speak English (though the staff there previously did). So maybe if you have reasonable French you will have a different experience?
A pleasant lunch but a tad pricey , 13 Euro for a Welch and then pay extra for frites, possibly why it was so quiet?
I have run a golf trip to France for almost 20 years and we have been staying local to the Mississippi for the last 7 years. We always eat here on a couple of evenings and have always found the owner and his staff to be very welcoming. There are 16 of us so I usually email in advance to book tables and he remembers us every year. We are usually quite loud, have the occasional sing song, but are never out of order, and the owner, Didier, never complains. He is a great guy! The locals usually laugh and join in any singing! The food is always good, in fact we think it has improved every year. There is a decent choice available and the prices are fine. We like the fact the menu is in French so that we have to try to work it all out...we are in France after all!! I would recommend this place to anyone staying locally. And we will continue to eat there every year on our golf trip.
A nice restaurant but very empty. Apart from four other guests we were the only others. Food is good but simple. Service is friendly and also good. For the location a nice place to be as there is no other place nearby.
We have eaten here on a number of occasions over three or so years and always been happy with the food and the service. This time however, despite the usual friendly welcome from the proprietor we felt a little disappointed. We arrived early so no delay in ordering. In past years the menu has been a rather 'Heath Robinson ' plastic folder, but my recollection is that we could understand most of it and had no trouble ordering. On this occasion we were presented with new, up market menu cards (nothing wrong with that! , however they were much more difficult to understand and we were not sure what we were ordering. Our starter, calamari, was great crisp, warm and tasty. However the main course was less satisfying. My steak, cooked medium as requested, was tasteless and chewy to the point of being indigestible. My wife 's salmon was OK but she could not fathom out what the peculiar sauce was. Shame really, I guess our poor grasp of the language was partly to blame, nevertheless we have had good meals in the past just not this time.
