Vikings Grille - Manhattan

From out of town and tried on a whim. Took awhile to get seated, but our waitress was friendly and food came out pretty quick. The portions were huge and quality was beyond our expectations. Some of the best crinkle cut fries and French Dip sandwich I've ever had. My wife had the smothered chicken and she really enjoyed how tender and flavorful the chicken was along with the peppers and mushrooms. The steamed vegetables were overcooked leaving the broccoli and cauliflower mushy and the carrots dry. But overall we had an excellent experience and recommended to our friends and family living nearby.

The service was great and reasonably fast. The food was unique, with huge portion sizes. The chicken noodle soup was peculiar and delicious. Not a large variety of beer. A great place to watch the game with your family!

One word.... AMAZING! Live in Topeka and have been to the one here a couple times. When they opened this one in Manhattan I had to try it out. Our server was a very bubbly pleasant young lady. You can tell when someone enjoys their job. Food was awesome. My burger was cooked perfect medium to medium well as requested. Not as juicy as I would like... To many cooked nowadays press the meat while on the grill which makes it lose it's juiciness. None the less it was very flavorful. Those twisty potato things... Good God yum. There is an upcharge for them that is worth it. Great atmosphere... Great service... Great food. My coworker had the pork tenderloin sandwich and said it was one of the better ones he's had.. highly recommended.

POS: clean, good food, good services, good atmosphere, good for watch sports, good for be with friends, good bar area. CONS: 1- The taste of the limone was terrific, don't know if was a tap water or fake lemon sabor. 2- It is part of the service to the customer to respond when a guests leaves the restaurant and appreciates, even when the guests is foreign, (I hope that attitude of one of your hostesses, today, wasn't for racism).

The bad first.... I ordered the catfish basket and the fish came undercooked. Also, even though they were not busy the food took way too long to leave the kitchen. And, the good.... Our waitress was awesome and nice. The other entrees were great! Because everything else was great I didn't want to blast them for the catfish. The waitress asked why I didn't eat it so I told her. Within a minute the manager was talking to me and paid for my meal. I didn't even ask for it, but they were very professional and understanding. I will definitely be back.
