Tonight we enjoyed our dinner at Taver. The tables on the porch were very nice covered. They do not use a menu but they just tell you each course what to choose. First we had the antipasti, serveral plates of mixed meat, toasted bread, some warm quiches, some fried vegetables, unions and sundried tomatos. It was a nice and large diversitie of food to start with. Then we had three sorts of pasta, all very nice and fresh! After we had two plates of meat; some beef and a mixed plate of meat. So nice to trie something you don’t know what to expect. For dessert we had a tiramisu and some frozen dessert with cream and an espresso. We couldn’t resist to buy some wines of their own winery, because the white wine (Chardonnay) we had for dinner was so nice. We were pleasantly surprised this evening!! So nice to enjoy some local dishes in such a nive atmosphere. Thanks for the great evening!
This cosy family-owned agriturismo offers really tasty and genuine food without spending a fortune. All the dishes are freshly made, their prosciutto, salame and wines are locally produced by the family farm, giving it that genuine flavour of older times. There is a huge variety of dishes, also with veggie choices, so the only flaw will be that you won't be able to eat everything (unless your stomach is extraordinary big). The staff is extremely polite and willing to give you the best dining experience and the younger waiter also speaks good English, which is not that obvious in Italy. I will definitely come back again.
This place is an excellent find. You are eating with the locals when you eat here. This is home-style cooking and eating with seasonal produce. You can tell the recipes have been handed down through the family. If you are looking for a nice place that is informal, serves home-style food, and treats you with the warmth and hospitality of a local, then this is the place.
Sunday lunch was a great experience. Every dish delicious, in particular meat secondos. Even simple things like baked potatoes or polenta very particularly good. Super nice staff very busy, but very friendly and professional. Just let them do what they do normally and you will eat exceptionally well.
