Nice place. Lots of delicious pastries and other cakes.
When I was there I saw a lot of cakes custom made waiting to be picked up, so they do seem very popular. I ordered 30,000 kyats worth of cake and they were all cakes were pretty good for Myanmar standards. Unfortunately there is a bit of a language barrier for english, which is to be expected as Myanamar doesn 't not receive as much Western tourist as other countries. I 'm also aware that it is a very cash based society. When I walked in, I asked one guy working there if they accept Visa or MasterCard (they had a sign behind their counter for Visa and a sign in front of their door for MasterCard). He told me yes. I was ordering a whole bunch of small cakes and 1 big cake. It was my friends birthday and we planned to share the cake with the staff at our hotel. When I went to pay, the said they didn 't accept cards. That the sign infront of the door for MasterCard was just a sign that was meant to say open/close. Honestly who ever runs this establishment should know that putting a MasterCard sign regardless if it is also an open/close sign implies you take credit card. The staff wasn 't aware that those Visa and MasterCard signs imply credit cards. I tried to explain to them that they can 't put signs like that around the store because it 's misleading. I 'm giving a 3/5 because of the language barriers/confusion, also there were so many staff members that seem to just stand there and chat to each other instead of helping customers out.
Nice cafe and bakery, excellent by Myanmar standard. Have decent air conditioning have clean tables, relax and enjoy a homemade coffee and a pastry. Hot homemade coffee, pretty good taste, K800, very reasonable price for a good environment at this place. Myanmar style triangle pizza slice designed by this company, with meat frost and cheese (I think), a tiny bit spicy hot with chilli oil, unique, tastes good with hot coffee, must try, K1500. Egg custard pastry, soft, fresh and flaky, the way it should be, K800. Total K3,255 included tax. An enjoyable afternoon coffee with two pastry items, not expensive for tourists, Myanmar middle class price level, but this place is high quality and professionally clean by Myanmar standard. This place seems very popular for locals, there is even home delivery service by a third party company, see photo. Have wall socket by the tables next to wall, also has free wifi. Recommended if you are in the area and wants to relax for a coffee, tea or drink. Don 't listen to the idiot foreigner Joris Wouters who commented here, he complained about lack of English speaking staff here, but this place 's customers are 99.9% local Myanmar people. He should stayed back in his home country if he wants to speak English. This is Myanmar and this place is mainly local Myanmar customers. He also complained about too many staffs here, but he forgets that Myanmar and Mandalay have many times higher population density than his home country. Then he also complained about not have anything other than white flour and that it causes diabetes, he is very silly, facts are whole wheat flour also causes diabetes and most carbohydrates cause diabetes. Should not eat carb at all or don 't eat too much carb if worry about diabetes. A small pastry is not going to cause diabetes. Some arrogant foreign tourists think they own and run the whole world, they don 't respect or consider the country and its people. They think they own the entire Myanmar and its people.
I had an ice frappe and three different sweet cakes which was all delicious. For a budget traveler is the SP Bakery super expensive though.
