Bidra med feedbackThe service at this restaurant definitely needs improvement. We visited for the first time this evening, as we live nearby. Unfortunately, we will not be returning in the future. Our main disappointment was with the service, which was quite poor. The restaurant was not very busy, with only 4 tables occupied, so the staff were not overwhelmed. There were 2 waiters, a younger man and an older man. We were served by the older waiter, who was uncommunicative and unfriendly. When we asked for a second pickle tray, he barely acknowledged us. When he brought our main dishes, he muttered something and walked away without checking if everything was ok or if we needed anything else. When we asked for the remaining food to be packed for take out, he grumpily responded and then scraped the food into containers without saying a word. This lack of communication and customer service was extremely disappointing. We are unsure if he was having a bad day or if this is his usual demeanor, but we strongly suggest that he be spoken to about his attitude towards customers. Due to this one waiter, we will not be returning and will not be recommending this restaurant to others.
Me and my fella have been both dining in and ordering take out since you opened. The food is perfect everytime but the past few orders there’s been items missing, really need to start paying attention to what people are paying money for because once we’re home we’re not gonna drive back to collect items that should be there in the 1st place. We did phone to bring it to your attention which someone did apologise for but it’s happened yet again. We don’t use any other Indian takeaway because your food is the best but if the lack of attention to detail continues well unfortunately we will have to go elsewhere.
Visited with friends yesterday the service , food were excellent. In great surroundings. This really is a local gem setting the standards for others to follow. This is by far the the best Indian restaurant in the area with plenty of parking as well.
A good addition for Walkden. Contemporary Indian décor and food, very pleasant and helpful staff, reasonable prices. Not as sensational as The Antelope when it opened, but I think that's because contemporary Indian was rarer then. Hope it keeps up its standards, we couldn't fault anything. My favourite was the starter Paneer Saag Puri.
We decided to try out the new restaurant, The Red Sea, near our home that has only been open for a few weeks. The staff were friendly and courteous as we were seated and waited for the rest of our party to arrive. Since it was a quiet Monday evening just after New Year, we had the chance to explore the menu, which offered unique dishes we hadn't tried before. With the help of the staff, we made our selections and thoroughly enjoyed our meal of pappadoms, starters, and mains. We all agreed that the décor was tasteful and fitting with the restaurant's name. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely consider returning in the future. Comparing to other Indian restaurants in our area, The Red Sea has set a high standard that is hard to match.
