Costa Coffee - Manchester

The staff at this restaurant are excellent and work tirelessly, despite being understaffed with only three people serving a large number of customers. However, one entire section of the coffee service area was not being used, resulting in a 25-minute wait for coffee. Additionally, tables were dirty and not cleared. Costa needs to address these issues as the current situation is unacceptable.

Customer service training is sorely needed at this Costa Coffee location. The cleaning lady, Mihaela, was rude and unprofessional. As soon as we arrived and set our coats down for a brief moment to take a picture of the sunset and get cash from our bag to order, she began insisting that we move because the tables are for customers only. Despite the fact that my husband had a Costa card and frequented the cafe daily, she continued to insist that we were not customers until we placed an order. Feeling unwelcome, we decided to leave. As we were exiting, we witnessed Mihaela harassing another customer who had just sat down.

The typical Costa layout was observed, but the cleanliness was not up to par with a messy floor and gaps between units. There were numerous small black flies hovering over the pastries and cakes. This issue was evidently known as there was netting covering the displays to the coffee making area. Upon expressing my concern to the barista, they simply shrugged and mentioned that it happens all the time. It may be worth Costa inspecting their waste and trash area as a potential breeding ground for these fruit flies.

Thrown out by a rude and aggressive lady at 3pm after paying for food and drink. I'm sure it is necessary to deep clean and restock but surely it can be done in a more polite and caring manner. After we were thrown out, she was aggressively stacking furniture and carelessly sanitising tables. Would never have a costa at the airport again.

Arriving at Manchester Airport to start an eight days holiday in Prague my twin brother Stephen and I dropped into this Costa Coffee outlet in Terminal Three as we had time to kill before our flight. A modern outlet,great decor and furnishings,a glass fronted serving bar showcases the goodies on offer ,it's a cool airport cafe. We ordered a flat white coffee each,these were served steaming hot ,we chilled out and caught our breath after going through passport control. A big fan of the coffee served in Costa Coffee ,it's consistent in all their outlets and their flat white coffee is a favourite of mine. We both really enjoyed our coffee's in here before we moved on and as on previous visits to this Costa Coffee in Terminal Three we had a pleasant time.
