Bidra med feedbackOn the who it really isnt worth trying to go out to a high end type restaurant in this areas. prices are similar to big city dining but the food is ofter pretty average. that was true for chop hoiuse as well. very expensive for pretty small portions. the sides were not very good...bordering on cafeteria dining. steaks are the main dish here but we found them to be small and pretty tough. even my daughter coldnt get through a filet mignon as was tough and fatty. people nice and doing their best but honestly just not worth it
At these prices they should be able to cook a better steak.
My wife and I went to the Chop House for our 1 year Anniversary dinner (we stayed at The Equinox). We had a reservation for 815, and got in about that time. Needless to say, the only reason they got 3 stars is because the food was great. The service was extremely slow. We waited about 1 1/2 hours to get our main meal. We might have gotten our app within the first 30 minutes of sitting down. The prices were too high for my taste. I think that paying $12 for a side is ludacris. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant or go back.
Beautiful intimate restaurant but the food was way overpriced for the quality. The service was exceptionally slow. It felt as though a different person was coming to our table each time. Although everyone was friendly and apologetic for the service, no one had a reason to explain if it was normal. Being our first experience we won’t be going back. Food was served luke warm without proper seasoning. Absolutely mediocre at best.
My steak arrived cool on a warm plate. It was cooked to order, rare, but the steak, the Prime New York Strip, was quite tough. I ate not even half of it. It was far from prime quality. It was also far from being worth the $53 price tag. My husband ordered an end cut of the prime rib, and was assured it would be served au jus. His cut of beef was quite dry. We also ordered a baked potato, which arrived quite overdone, the bottom of which was black, and the potato itself was dry and hard. On a positive note, the service was wonderful. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. She was quite distressed when we described our unhappiness with the food. She kindly adjusted our bill so we didn't pay for the tough steak or overcooked baked potato. I'm sorry to say that the best part of the meal were the wonderful, homemade potato rolls.
