Terrible customer service. Sunday at 8:00. I called at 7:15 to place an order and was told that because they were short-circuited, they could not take orders via the phone only online. I tried to place the order online for 10 minutes, but always an error message. So I called back and another person told me, oh yes, there were problems and there's nothing we can do. Nevertheless, they wouldn't take my order on the phone. I said, if we go over, we can put the order on the counter. He said yes. I told them we were 10 minutes. We drove all the way, and they said they had no more orders. I explained what I've been through. I shot the head and left. Terrible management. She said one of her employees was sick. Why didn't that employee give permission to go home? There were enough people to run the restaurant. Never again. This place used to be a favorite for our family. Sad, it's on the hill. If I gave it less than a star.
We just went through this area and had to get dinner on the run. There is a ton of other options, especially from the fast food variant, but my grade student son remembered that we had historically always good experiences with D'Angelos everywhere in New England. Not only were the sandwiches good, but some details of the operation impressed us. The store was busy, but the service was fast and efficient. There were many employees in service, and the kitchen area seemed both organized and very clean. All these factors are important, especially in the post-Covid era where so many restaurants fall their standards. Good job!
Went for a lobster roll and they were sooo busy! but the workers were whipping out food, and training, and taking orders 8 different ways (online, phone, grubhub, in person etc. and were still polite with a Have a nice day and thank you !! Im confident they dont get paid enough!
In my opinion D'angelos has the best steak pocket sandwiches-with peppers onions mushrooms and cheese. I dont know what kind of steak they use but it is better than the other places I have tried over the years
