Bidra med feedbackI tried the red curry with chicken and it was excellent. Great food great price.
We went here for the first time tonight and LET ME TELL YOU we will absolutely be back. For starters, the environment is super cool. Jazz music in the background (owner Mike said they have live musicians on weekends too!! and it was so relaxing. A really cool space. The owner Mike told us they make EVERYTHING from scratch, even their own meats! The food is INCREDIBLE we got pad Thai, spicy sausage rice and the egg rolls. Everything is amazing and so delicious. It was hard driving home in the car with the smell of these aromatics!!! I’d like to also mention how down to earth, kind and cool the owner Mike is! He told us a bit about his family and the business. Definitely recommend this spot guys. Authentic locally/family owned, scratch-made kitchen and beautiful venue. Thanks Mike! We will be back! Came at close, met the owner, who treated me like an old friend. Had a great talk, a real family business. Amazing food and phenomenal staff. Outdoor dates have found their home in Austin. With a diverse selection of food and love music what more could you ask for.
I ordered the Pad Kee Mao at spice level 5 which was pretty good. I found the portion size to be fairly small, but I think that's usually the case for food trucks. It also wasn't as spicy as I anticipated, so if you have a fairly high spice tolerance, I wouldn't be too scared to get it.The food took quite a long time to come out (I don't know the exact time frame but maybe 40 minutes to an hour? Not a big deal given I imagine the truck only has so much space, but it was frustrating to have waited so long.I was surprised when we were offered table service; the server was nice enough but noticeably hurried around which admittedly was a little distracting. They did offer us the usual drinks and provided water cups, but refills were mostly self-serve after a while which was fine since it was a mere couple of steps to refill the cups. The interior of the place definitely needs improvements. The room that the tables are set up in is fairly echo-y which amplified a lot of the noise inside. I found the most frustrating part of my experience to be the other table seated pretty much right behind us (our tables were basically adjacent . I know other customers' behavior isn't the restaurant's responsibility, but the noise levels from their laughing and yelling definitely took away from my experience. I think it may have helped to not have been seated so close together, so maybe something to consider as the interior gets developed.Parking: Parking can be found behind the first building you see by going in between the fences with the fairy light. I went when it was dark, but it appeared to be a make your own parking spot in a yard situation.
As much as I wanted to also love this place it just wasn't anything special. We waited almost an hour for our meals, and since they're still working on the inside of the restaurant there was limited seating. The food was disappointing .What made the whole experience worse was that there was a huge group behind us laughing so loud that it echoed in the house. They were laughing as a comedian show, they had no social awareness.I got the veggie delight, there was no cabbage which is fine but also disappointing. I opted to get two proteins instead. Since it took so long they compensated me with rice, however the rice was extremely soggy. Our waiter was fine though! I could see he was trying. Another side note their menus had food stains everywhere which gave me the ick from the start.
