Bidra med feedbackVery nice atmosphere not too crowded or loud (this was a Saturday evening). Very friendly wait staff, too. The manager came over shortly after we were seated, to greet us a nice touch. The overall service was just right not rushed, but not slow, either. Really enjoyed the food! We had the mussels appetizer, which was delicious. Instead of in the shell, only the mussel meat was in the creamy tomato based broth, with good garlic bread. For dinner we had the salmon on linguini and the seafood pescatore. Portion size was really good (i.e. we took leftovers home). The seafood was all cooked just right, not overdone. Terrific flavors for both dishes. We'd like to see a larger selection of red wines, but the bottle we had was very good, at a good price. Looking forward to going there again!
I placed an order for 2 penne pastas through Uber Eats. Specifically, I selected this restaurant because they offered the option to replace meat with vegetables for an additional $2, which perfectly suited the dietary preferences of my vegetarian guests. Regrettably, when the orders arrived at my doorstep after an exhausting wait of 1.5 hours, both of them contained meat instead of the requested vegetables. Incredibly disappointed. Considering the significant inconvenience, I just cannot give this experience more than one star out of five. To fulfill our hunger, we had no choice but to seek alternative options elsewhere.
I feel like Gordon Ramsay was going to walk in any minute. Had dinner here about an hour and a half ago, and I'm here at home angry and hungry. I ordered the baked spaghetti with meatballs (but they gave me meat sauce instead) with a side salad. Side salad was your typical deal of lettuce, one tomato slice, two slices of red onion, and one cucumber slice with Italian dressing. Bread was at least nice and warm, and the butter was soft. The baked spaghetti was undercooked and sour. It may look appetizing because of the globs of cheese on top but even that couldn't save it. Trust me when I say I would rather have my MIL's pasta over this. My husband ordered the Greek pizza and it was missing the feta. The amount of olives was impressive (pretty sure he counted close to 40 whole olives) but it made the pizza salty and the dough...Doughy. Service was incredibly slow. The manager checked on us once right after the food came out but after that it took almost half an hour for anyone to come back. We also watched the manager completely ignore not one but two patrons who came in for their carry-out orders. She was sat at the bar for at least five minutes with her back to the door. I think I'd rather go to Paisanos next time.
The food here is not bad the service was slow. The ambiance is good inside the restaurant. It took 20 minutes to get the check after we asked for it. The food has flavor but it does not really stick out from other restaurants like this. I will try here again in a few weeks and see if service gets better or if it is more of the same.
From what I had, the Ziti, I would not recommend this place at all. It tasted like it was previously frozen and reheated. I have found that when a restaurant heats the serving dishes to a temperature that makes it so you can't even touch them, it means, not fresh. I am guessing that the ziti was reheated, placed in the dish, and then placed again into an oven. Not worth trying again, I don't believe that they make anything from scratch there.
