Bidra med feedbackThis restaurant seems to be popular for its scenic views, but unfortunately, our visit coincided with a cyclone. The rain and flood blocked all the windows, so we couldn't see anything outside. I ordered the garlic butter chicken, but it was quite disappointing as it lacked flavor. The fish ordered by others was also disappointing in terms of portion size. While the prices weren't high compared to English standards, it ended up being the most expensive bill I've paid in India. In hindsight, I should have checked the charges more carefully. I can't recommend this restaurant based on the food quality, but I'm sure the view would be amazing on a clearer day.
I came to this restaurant because my usual apartment was closed. Located on the beach in Maha, the view is stunning. The place is clean and I ordered the King prawns and roasted squid, which were excellent. However, the fish was a bit undercooked. The beer was fresh and the prices were reasonable.
This restaurant by the shore is highly acclaimed for its delicious food.
My husband and I had been happy to eat here for weeks. But according to the way we were treated today, we will never return to this place again. When we arrived, only three parties sat, and all took the tables for their sea view through the windows on the second floor. Half the point to eat here is the view, so we asked the staff if we could wait for one of these tables to open up. There were no other customers in the restaurant so the staff said we could. Fortunately, we waited near an hour. We were not in a hurry and hoped to enjoy our afternoon on the shores. But at the time when one of the tables opened, the restaurant was a bit more crowded. Imagine our annoyance when instead of sitting at one of the tables that the waiting staff had promised us, the waiting staff instead sat a group of tourists there who had gone 50 minutes to the restaurant. We brought this to the attention of the manager and instead of offering a solution, literally WALKED AWAY from us, without fading as much as an answer. After we had experienced the despicable attitude of the manager, it was clear that our patronage was not desired. So we went and went to the Searock restaurant next door and had an amazing meal. At the age of COVID-19 it is remarkable that there are still restaurants that do not see the value of treating their clientele with respect. We live in Chennai and would have visited this restaurant regularly if they had respected us. Not only did they lose our money today, but they also lost all the money we had spent there for future visits. And I hope everyone who reads this review will think twice before spending their hard-earned money in this institution.
Dirty place, shabby maintenance, overcooked and oily food. Ridiculous high prices for fish. It has a good view of the shore temple but don't look closer than that or you won't be able to eat anything with the dumpster just below. We asked a local...guide for a recommendation and were sadly ripped off. PLEASE avoid
