Bidra med feedbackBest chip shop in Malvern. friendly and great food. better than the rest by a mile and good prices. worth going every time
Good quality, freshly cooked and very busy. Traditional fish and chips. The real deal Only gripe is the peas looked ultra dyed.
Visited a couple of times whilst staying locally, always seemed to be busy but didn't have to wait too long. Both the fish and the chips were above average quality.
I thought that I would try fish and chips from here for the first time in a long while, the last time the meal was inedible, the fish had been reheated from lunchtime and was tough and chewy, it made me feel ill, the owner said that they never reheated which was untrue, I know what I had, others have said the same. Anyway this time the fish, although two small ones, was good and the chips were pretty good too I just wish they didn't put so many in, there was at least enough chips for 3 people. The service was good, cooked while you wait which I much prefer. Fish, chips and a large curry sauce was £10.60, I maybe out of touch but that seems an awful lot to me. I will go back as it is convenient and as I said the food was good this time.
I ordered 2 fish and chips and was given a price of £17 so my expectancy increased a little that I may be getting something a bit special, although the staff didn't instill me with any confidence. After about 10 minutes I was presented with two massive cardboard boxes mostly filled with horrible chips (almost inedible and in any case far too much for 1 person to eat), one of the boxes apparently contained a large fish but turned out to be mostly batter hiding a grossly over-cooked small fish, The other box contained 2 smaller fishes which I was told were almost edible. Unfortunately most of both boxes went to the bin. I worry that visitors to our country ever experience the nations favorite here, how hard can it be to cook fish and chips that we can be proud of?
