Horrendous staff with terrible attitudes. One of the male staff members told my friend in her 60s to SHUT UP while we were trying to deal with the bill. We were a group of 10 and we had all finished our starters and mains, before her food finally arrived. I didn’t eat my starter as it was disgusting. And no one in the group enjoyed their food. Please, please do yourself a favour and do not visit this dreadful place. Such a shame as we have had a wonderful week and we have all commented on the high standard of food and how lovely all of the local people have been. He really let down Lake Como and he certainly lets down the venue that he works for.

Went this evening as we were staying local. The service was impersonal but we now get it. They have a huge pizza menu and we ordered a mediocre salad and 2 inedible pizzas. It was really bizarre as it seemed as though many locals eat there. I don't even know how to describe what we were served after waiting 45 minutes for the 2 pizzas. Im certain the photos I post will sum it up. We each used 2 very absorbent napkins to sop up the liquid before even having to cut all but the 1.5 inches of crust and try to pile the toppings on to said crust. This was a total no for us, and if this were my restaurant in Italy no less, I'd bury my head inThe sand.

We tried this place in winter while we were scouting places for our wedding. There were no tourists and both the service and the pizza were excellent. Then in summer, we were staying in Merate with our friends and family for the wedding so we wanted to host them there for a dinner. We called them for days, we managed to make a reservation (very much in advance) for 20 people, and just a couple of days before the dinner they just cancelled it without ANY explanation. We ended up with a huge group of guests without a reservation, our hotel luckily stepped up and booked something else. Then on the day of the cancelled reservation, we were walking to the new restaurant we booked, and we passed by here there they were, open and serving without a fuss. Really really unprofessional.

Very good pizza, great dessert. Quick service, very kind staff. Prices not low but on average, by now, to eat a buffalo pizza 13 euros). Beautiful location on the lakefront..peccato for the station always difficult to find.

I had snack at the pastry on Saturday morning with my friend, nice place with one of the tables inside view of the lake (we took coffee, crodin brought with chips and husband to the fruits of the wood, all good, quick and cheerful service, receipt ok, recommended!
