The boat house on Lake Dieksee, as the name suggests, is located in Bad Malente directly on the Dieksee in beautiful Holstein Switzerland. The fishing and the boathouse has developed an attractive gastronomy. The farm is cut by the promenade and consists of the rustic fishing hut and on the lake side of the cozy boat hall and the covered lake terrace. The staff is always friendly and really always dedicated to the guest. After a sunny hiking walk we enter the Boat Hall and find a free table right on the water side. While we still sit down, the waiter appears, looking attentively at the table at the right and asking for a drink request. The drinks are also quite flotted at the table. We choose from the map Hamburger Pannfisch with mustard sauce and roast potatoes as a small portion and Fiete's baked fish, also with roast potatoes as a large portion. Almost all dishes are shown on the map as small/seniors and large portion. Very good! After not even 15 minutes the food will come. However, this working day is not so much operation. The frying potatoes are fried with bacon and onions and really recommended. You could also get the panfish with potato ram and the baked fish with potato salad. In both dishes, the sea salmon is fried juicy and very good in taste. In the mustard sauce of the pann fish are still roasted mustard grains, which gives the sauce an interesting charm. The service employee also asks whether we are satisfied during the meal. The dishes are well prepared, nicely dressed and there is really nothing to put on it. In other words very tasty. While the waiter clears the plates, he asks once again whether we were satisfied and asks for further wishes. We complete the food with a cup of coffee and enjoy the beautiful view of the lake again. Although the sanitary facilities also visited are somewhat hidden in the basement of the fishing hut, they are very clean. For the Hamburger Pannfisch as a small portion we pay 9,30€ and for the normal portion of Backfisch 12,80€. We can't see a difference in the size of the portion. Next time, a small portion is enough. ; And that there is a next time fixed. It is worth returning here.

We arrived at 12:26 and they would not accept our negative COVID test from the day before because there was no time on the test result. Clearly there are restaurants who didn’t battle through lockdown and can afford to turn away good money. They lose because the restaurant 5 minutes away benefited and the food, ambiance was great.

We had Seelachs for dinner. After we had asked the waiter about the portions we decided to order klein portion. This portion looked like a normal portion for us. It was served together with a mustardsauce. The meal tadted really good. Staff was very kind and friendly with a smile on their lips. Rsetaurant is located with a nice view over the sea, The only bad thing with the restaurant was that smoking was allowed.

Comfort food and view. We desided to have lunch here because it was next to our hotel. The food was ok; kinda what you would expect for a typical fastfood restaurant.. Though a bit expensive in my perspective you pay for the view as well. The door to the restaurant kept opening and closing every few minutes and it was freezing outside

A lot of deep fried food. not too many healthy choices. Fast and friendly service. very popular. Good menu.
