Bidra med feedbackNicely done katsu with unlimited miso soup and pickles. Loin katsu was crisp and not oily. Price was affordable and service was generally good. Would love to go back again ????
There was 4 of us so we ordered 2 Special Sets. It included the following meats (listed in order of my preference): Rolled Cutlet - this was my favorite, specifically the cheese one. Next would be asparagus, and lastly, plum. All very good! Deep Fried Shrimp - not usually a fan of shrimp because it tastes like nothing, but I liked this. Crab Cream Croquettes - uhm, this is okay. I had a bite or two, and that was enough. It's just so.. creamy. Deep fried cream. Weird. Loin Cutlet - nothing spectacular or note-worthy. I love how everything isn't oily. The batter was crispy throughout. And like all the teishoku restaurants I've tried, the cabbage with dressing was very addicting. Now that I know what tastes good, I would love to come back here for the Rolled Cutlets.
For the best tonkatsu while you're within this area, Glorietta in Makati, this is the place. Been here several times and each time the food and service is very good. The main reason why Saboten has remained in this area of Glorietta. Japanese it is!
The servings are big and delicious! The atmosphere of the place is really light and sunny. The staff were very quick and friendly. The price is worth it due to the unlimited rice, cabbage, miso soup, sweet tea drink, and pickled vegetables.
Yes, there are a lot of Katsu restaurants in the city and have been to a few of the more popular ones. One may argue that they all taste the same. But I really enjoyed the Miso Katsu Tenderloin set I ordered. The service was also on point.
