Bidra med feedbackOrdered: Beef salpicao - this was above average. The serving size is decent for an appetizer. Though some bits were really chewy and not as tender, I loved the garlic and the overall taste. Aglio olio - tasted alright. The noodles were a bit too thin for me. I'd go for something else next time.
I was one of the Makati dwellers who got really excited when i found out that Poco Deli is branching out in my chaotic city. I visited the Ayala Triangle Gardens a day after they opened. When i am craving for bacon, i always go to Poco. Bacon Slab anyone? For those who are not privy to what a bacon slab is - these are thick, juicy, bigass slices of this wonderful cured meat. Now add perfectly cooked sunny side up eggs a flavorful garlic rice on the side - Breakfast of Champions (I can eat Bacon Slab any time of day) Blackouut Chocolate Cake. This one is a close contender against Miss Polly's cake. Moist, not overly sweet and has the right chocolate kick. Best eaten with a cup of joe. Citrus Delight. Fancy fruit juice in fancy crockery. Fresh fruit slices over a citrus based drink. Better alternative compared to soda. At least you have some vitamin c in your bloodstream after ze bacon slab meal, this will stabilise your cholesterol level (I made that up). Poco also has a wide selection of wine and different types of sausages. And I've heard that the Truffle Oil pasta is yummy. I'll take note of that on my next visit.

The food and ambiance are both great. But due to the busy-ness of the area it is hard to get the attention of servers. Afternoon or pre-lunch eats are recommended as you will have no trouble getting seated.
It is our yearly routine to visit Ayala Triangle to see the wonderful display of lights every christmas time. Of course after we need to fill our hungry tummies, since it is also our Anniversary, we decided to try something new. We've been curious with what Poco Deli has to offer so we decided to give it a shot. I was surprised that the place was less crowded, maybe because it was a Monday. We chose to be seated near the door which has a bigger room for a stroller since we have a baby with us. We ordered Pumpkin Soup for starter - served hot and with toast on the side. Serving was big enough for 2 people. And for our main, we had Bacon Slabs Standard which is one of their bestsellers. I love the sweetness of the bacon and it was really juicy. This is the 1st time I ate a slab of bacon with its fatty part. Next time I will ask it to be a bit toasted. As for our drinks, we ordered Brewed Iced Tea which didn't really taste like Iced Tea but Strawberry (don't get me wrong, I liked it)! and Citrus Delight which I really liked too because of the combination of oranges, lemon and honey! Our dining experience was memorable not only because it was our Anniversary but because of the romantic ambiance of the place. The cost of food was good and the staff was really nice.
