Hans Im Gluck - Mainz

Terrible food (my wife had to vomit), terrible service (no silverware or napkins), nasty bathrooms, charged for food sent back because it was foul.

Wife left her pursue on the bench. We walked out of the restaurant to have security chase us down stating we didn’t pay although we did. After it was settled, my wife realized she forgot her pursue. Came the next day to be told no pursue was found. Went back again, after reporting it to the Police. Manager then stated one of the employees took the pursue home for safe keeping. Once we got the pursue back $300 was missing. The employee who safeguarded the pursue claims the waitress who served us held the pursue for more than 1 hour before turning it in to him. Thankfully, passport and credit cards were still in the pursue.

We eat because we want to survive. Most of the time, it is quite boring. So dining out at a restaurant should be fun, and Hans Im Glueck Burgergrill Bar in Mainz was a hoot! We knew that this was a rather large chain but food is food and should be an experience. From the moment we were seated at the counter in front of the prep area, the entertainment was nonstop. We really don 't understand the negative service comments because we rarely had fewer than three very friendly staff attending to us the entire time. Since I am on a gluten free diet, it was probably an adventurous decision to dine here to begin with. But they offered gluten free options, so after starting on our bottle of wine, we ordered a Vollmundig burger (bacon, caramelised onions mushrooms) without bread, one with a brioche bun and a side order of fries. Since we were having a great time and a bit tipsy because our hotel was quite close, we probably cannot swear to the quality of the food but think it was very good...no matter. This restaurant and staff knew what to do correctly and for the excellent evening we are giving it a top grade. Thanks for the memories!

Eclectic food and drinks.Kellner gave us the bill with VIELE things we got nothing. Nauseation food and drinks. The waiter gave us the check with many items we did not even order or ate.

If I like Burger, I like to come here. The sauces at the table, in front of the orange mango, simply taste brilliant to sweet potatoes. The only thing I find a bit cheeky is the vivera schnitzel that is used as crispy chicken burgerpatty. That doesn't fit very well to the rest of my opinion.
