Bidra med feedbackI made a reservation for the Sunday Carvery for a family gathering, priced at £27 per person for 4 courses. There was a nice selection of starters and desserts. The carvery meats were well-cooked, and there were plenty of vegetable options, although the potatoes were not up to par. We ended the meal with a cheese board and coffee. Liberty provided excellent and friendly service.
If you're looking for a place to eat before embarking on a cruise from Dover, look no further than this hidden gem we stumbled upon while traveling to Spain, Portugal, and Italy. Located off the beaten path from London, we discovered this restaurant on Hotels.com and were pleasantly surprised with the experience. The highlight of our visit was the delicious lunch we had - I ordered the roast pork belly, while my daughter enjoyed the fish and chips. The pork belly was simply exquisite, accompanied by a side of cabbage in celeriac confit that was out of this world. My daughter couldn't stop praising the fish and chips, declaring them the best we had on our entire trip. We were so impressed that we ordered another round of chips for dinner after indulging in a delightful creme brulee. To top it off, we treated ourselves to Irish Coffee to go, followed by a much-needed nap before exploring the picturesque surroundings and snapping some photos. We couldn't resist ordering the chips once more before retiring to our room with our Irish coffees. I already can't wait to return someday.
The four-course Sunday Carvery at the Weald of Kent Golf Club Restaurant is a great deal. The starters had a good variety (I chose the fish cake), the carvery meats were cooked perfectly and very flavorful (with a wide selection of vegetables), and there were plenty of dessert options (I chose the bread and butter pudding). Afterwards, we enjoyed a selection of cheeses on a well-stocked cheeseboard. My wife has a Gluten Free diet, but the staff were helpful in guiding her towards suitable options. The service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was lovely. We will definitely be returning.
Booked for Fathers Day! Starters were very nice, the carvery wasn’t to our taste! Turkey wasn’t very nice, lots of dark spots in the meat! I prefer nice white meat! Roast potatoes had something salty on them! Red cabbage was vinegary, carrot and swede mash has spices in it, parsnips were hard! Desserts and coffee were very nice! Would go back for the normal menu as the restaurant is very nice!
For what was advertised as probably the best carvery in Kent, all four of us were very disappointed and won’t be going back. There was plenty of food but only nut roast offered as the vegetarian alternative. Service was ‘indifferent’ and the discretionary tip added to the bill. For four courses plus coffee and chocolates, it’s definitely not a bad price but the quality was not what was expected, given the claim!
