Bidra med feedbackSadly, I became a bridezilla when my maitre D stood in the doorway of my bridal suite in front of my wedding party and said I wasn't allowed to leave the room until the Bride next door made her entrance, she didn't want her guests to see me (why? ... I was supposed to have pictures taken then in our reception space. I also wanted to attend cocktail hour and was 40 minutes late as I was held hostage. I became so upset it was hard for me to shake this. To spend $70k on your wedding- every minute of time counts. Furthermore, I was told we could take pictures on the water- Barone's property but the day of we couldn't because that bride was taking pictures- these are things that you could never know about until the day of. We had to park on the side of a road and take pictures. The food was great, but I didn't appreciate the very gestapo maitre D and the owners came to me to extend my cocktal hour- which shortened our reception. I always remember this every time we get asked about our wedding. We truly felt like just a number.Following up to your reply- we did let the owner know. I retold this story last week and I felt the need to write the review. We were happy with the food and service but saying we could use the spot near water for pictures and then keeping my in the bridal suite for almost an hour was insane! It's not my fault that the bridal suites are located on the wrong floors. No one asked me if I cared if my attendees seen the other bride.
The entire staff at Villa Barone did nothing less than perfection for our wedding. The owners Nicky and Vinny are personally involved from start to finish and don’t make you feel like another number. They made us feel comfortable from the beginning and are genuine to their word. They made our day day feel truly special. The attention to detail at Villa Barone and their staff is immaculate. On the day itself the Maitre D and bridal assistant made sure everything that needed to be done or accommodated was a priority. Granted we are not the pickiest, any request we had was done on the fly.Our wedding itself was planned to be outdoors, but due to the rain, it was moved indoors. This put a bit of a downer as the first look at the Lake Front and ceremony outdoors would have been ideal. However, the owners and staff did everything they could to still make both moments memorable. Even to adding extra amenities to the reception for our guests and ourselves. Our guests could not stop talking about the food that was provided during the cocktail hour and reception. Countless times we heard our guests say they have never been to a wedding where they were feed so well and the food looked as it came from a 5-star restaurant. The venue itself provided my wife and myself samples of everything that was offered to the guests so we didn’t miss out on anything. Even samples of all the dinner entrees. The dessert options at the end surprised at lot of our guests and ourselves with how professional and entertaining it was.Villa Barone recommended the DJ, Photographer, and Florist. We ultimately choose all three of Villa’s recommendations and don’t regret it. You would think the vendors were employed directly for Villa Barone based on how well they worked within the facility and knew everyone. If you choose Villa Barone at Hilltop Manor for your wedding venue, you are making the right choice. If you don’t choose them, reconsider.Sincerely,Mike and Kayla Calamis.
Where do I even begin!I'm a wedding officiant, and I had the honor of officiating a beautiful ceremony for the happy couple yesterday at Villa Barone Hilltop Manor. From the moment I drove to the venue, I was greeted very well by the valet, and it only got better from there.I stepped indoors and after inquiring about where the wedding party was located, Vinny, immediately introduced himself and led me to where I needed to be where I met more of the lovely staff present (Melissa and Alexis). Melissa directed me to the bridal suite and Alexis led me outdoors to view the ceremony space before starting. I could tell that they both not only enjoy what they do, but they loved working specifically at Villa Barone. As time sped up before the ceremony, the hired DJ wasn't present yet, but the Maître d' Robert, remained calm and planned accordingly. He made sure there was a mic stand ready to go just in case. He was a great help and worked very well with me in making sure the bridal party was ready to go for the ceremony. But most of all, his quick thinking skills made it possible for the bride to walk down to the song she had chosen. Thank you for that! From start to finish, I commend the staff for their professionalism and their ability to work with other vendors with mutual respect and care. It is very important that everyone works well together because it makes creating the special day for any couple that much sweeter.Thank you to everyone I encountered yesterday, and I hope to have many opportunities to marry another beautiful couple at this wonderful venue.
